The story of Passover repeats through every generation. As it says in the Haggadah: “In every generation they rise against us to destroy us, but the Holy One, blessed be He, saves us from their hand.”בְּכָל דּוֹר וָדוֹר עוֹמְדִים עָלֵינוּ לְכַלּוֹתֵנוּ, וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מַצִּילֵנוּ מִיָּדָם
And here we are again, in a never-ending story, another war, another wave of hostility. Yet the message of Pesach is not despair, but resilience against all odds and faith that God is leading us with ‘a strong hand and an outstretched arm’ to be a free people in our land, the land of Zion and Jerusalem.
This year especially, our spirit is strong and our resolve even stronger. The story of the people of Israel is clear: we endure and we thrive. עם ישראל חי.
We send our love and prayers for the safety of our brave soldiers who risk their lives so we can live, for everyone in Israel, and for Jews around the world.
May He who makes peace in heaven make peace for us, for Israel, and for the whole world, soon in our days.
עֹשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם בִּמְרוֹמָיו, הוּא יַעֲשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם עָלֵינוּ וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְעַל כָּל הָעוֹלָם, וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן.
