Shabbat Shalom and a peaceful weekend to all.
The week flew by—Friday again. Fridays are the busiest days of my week: cooking, cleaning, baking challot, bringing everything into order. By evening, a freshness fills our home, a quiet spirit of holiness that connects us with Jews everywhere around the world. Shabbat is the only holiday that comes every week, quieting the noise of the world. This is my world, my rhythm, my life.
Friday madness now has passed,
all is settled here at last.
The house is quiet—oh, what a sight,
washed in gentle holy light.
The table waits, the candles lit,
a tender stillness where I sit.
The sky fades out in orange-blue,
I feel my heart beat soft and true.
And as the hush begins to grow
a deeper presence starts to flow.
Shabbat arrives, the quiet Queen,
and wraps our home in peace unseen.
