Shabbat Shalom, Shana Tova U’Metuka to All 🔯🙏💐
שבת שלום ושנה טובה ומתוקה 🍎🍯❤️
On the eve of Rosh Hashanah, September 9, 2018, Asaf and I released our song “13th Sphere.”
In 1999 I had a dream. I was walking at night on a hill facing the Wailing Wall. The night was dark, but the mountain before me was completely illuminated. The sight and its symbolism are etched in my mind. The dream became a poem and a stirring song.
The title “13th Sphere” relates to the Thirteen Attributes of Divine Mercy, י״ג מידות הרחמים, recited during Selichot, repentance, and the Days of Awe.
In Kabbalah, twelve represents the structure of the physical world, while thirteen reaches the a realm beyond. In Hebrew gematria, אהבה, love, and אחד, One, both equal 13. Love and Oneness are all encompassed in אין סוף, Ein Sof, God the Infinite.
Once again we enter a new year, thankful for what was and praying for courage for what to come. Our deepest prayers as Jews is the prayer for peace, not only the absence of war, but the presence of justice, dignity, safety, and compassion for all.
This year, Rosh Hashanah 5787 begins with Shabbat, a double blessing. May it bring the Divine light I saw in my dream into our world soon in our days. ✡️🙏☮️
עושה שלום במרומיו, הוא יעשה שלום עלינו ועל כל ישראל.
“I fly to You to Thirteenth Sphere
where all is crisp and very clear
where we will be at last in peace
and where my soul You’ll gently ease.
The 13th Sphere is here, so near.”
