We had a lovely 4th of July.

It was a crystalline day in the neighborhood, so we took a long walk at Mile Square Park. The park buzzed with families from all backgrounds—Mexican, Vietnamese, Korean, Palestinian—all joyously celebrating the holiday.

In true American fashion, the air was filled with the mouthwatering aroma of BBQ, lively music, and the laughter of children. As we strolled, a Korean family warmly invited us to sample their delicious dishes. It was an afternoon that truly embodied the essence of America—a celebration of multiculturalism and community spirit.

“America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination, and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.” — Harry S. Truman (1884–1972) the 33rd President of the United States
