What a beautiful gift arrived in the mail today from far across the sea: a thoughtful collection of poetry from my dear friend Jasper Kesteloo, an aviation psychologist from the Netherlands.

Jasper’s poems reflect on love, faith, spirit, and the deeper ties that connect us as human beings. The spaciousness between the lines gives each word time to breathe, rest, reflect, and gently enter and uplift the heart.

The poem below, “Intimate Love Connection,” spoke to me especially. It expresses something I have long felt: love is not diminished by distance, nor is a connection any less real because it is not physical. True bonds remain deeply present, even across oceans.
“Maybe physically distant
Yet spiritually connected.”

Thank you, Jasper. I cherish your friendship and this beautiful gift. I will keep this lovely little book by my bedside. 💗
