Early morning lights the sky
in shades of pink and baby blue
and there I lay with you beside me
so happy and so new.
Buds and berries pucker upward
searching seeking to ignite
as they warm from chills of darkness
to bloom and blossom with excite.
Drinking dew of sleepy flowers
tasting honey with a sting
in a flash I feel the rapture
and there I fly without a wing.
Surfing in and out of love
drifting side by side
linked by spirit so enchanting
that oceans can’t divide.
