Midsummer afternoon
an orange sun began to set
I walked back to the cove
and waited by the gate.
The scent of dry sage spear
and red burning bush
filled the air with flavors
and fragrance of fine kush.
I wished to see you come
around the sandy bluff
to hold my hand and stroll
along the grassy knolls.
