There once was a princess with spiced chestnut hair
she was lovely and bright, her skin soft and fair
her lips were ruby red, her eyes gentle fawns
her spirit full of joy, her heart as fresh as dawn.
On her birthday the Court many wishes presented
that her life with the fragrance of roses be scented
for the angels to watch her safe with strong arm
and to guide and protect and keep her from harm.
