The wall rose
between them
suddenly
seemingly out of nowhere —
but its twisted rotten roots
laid deep
in their dark soiled past
that stretched all the way back
to beginning of time

Great content! Super high-quality! Keep it up! 🙂
Kira explored what lays below the wall, the roots that have been growing since the beginning of time, excellent use of the image and superb writing, well done Kira!
Wonderfully done!
Fantastic and luminous !!
Great use of prompt!
Superb!! Exquisite and powerful!!
This reminds me of my birth family, badly fractured by years-long abuse. I deluded myself that these relationships were full of the warm fuzzies that most people think when they say “family”. But once I realized the true depth of their animosities (my family are not my friends by any means), I was overcome by reeling mind flashes back to the abusive past with a passel of older siblings mimicking abusive parents. So often we humans only see what we want to see & I love the phrase: “seemingly out of nowhere” (becuz of it’s ironic bite)
I felt barriers here springing up in a long term relationship, to expose baggage. It almost had an Adam and Eve feel to it. Your artwork is always so colourful and you have your own unique Kira style. Happy Sunday dear poet from across the pond.
