Let’s take this broken world
and put it back together
we’ll glue the pieces with our love
to always make it better.
Let’s run away
just you and I
and climb above the hill
from where we’ll call
the earth to stop
and cleanse itself from ills.
Below us mountains will burn and smolder
in fumes of orange glow
and at the grand cross of Here and There
will throw a wish to sow.
Come run with me
and climb above the meadows,
come run with me and feel the air
wipe away our shadows.
I know that we can find a way
to heal our pain and that of others
if you and I stand side by side
a new world we’ll discover.
Above the hill
just you and I
will spread our arms wide
and then the air will swish about
to take us on a ride.
Around us poppies will blush in bloom
and fields will glisten white
and at the edge of Here To Come
will watch an awesome sight.
Come run with me
let’s find a way
to bring a better day
let’s run away
just you and I
and wipe away our shadows.
