I woke up in heaven to find me alone
neither Adam nor Eve, even God, all left home─
I cried out for Thee, Your Grace and my Lord
to come back and love to caress me and hold.

To whisper Your words that thunder and bolt
as they move over oceans that rise up and fold─
to close the deep void and the darkness to fill
and to govern the world with the calm of Your will.

To bring forth the grass as it yields to Your seed
my heart and my soul with abundance to feed─
to cause for the rain to fall hard and birth
and to water the face of the whole of the earth.

I called out to Thee, my God and my Lord,
to come back to Heaven and to wave up your sword─
to tame all the beasts n’ brutes of all kind
then to rest and to glow in all things as they bind.
