Behind the candle light
shadows drew dark cast —
the evening air grew cold
his pulse was pumping fast.
He poured his heart with verse
of proud love and faith
his morning songs have brought
bright smiles upon her face.
A bond from far beyond
a blinding piercing glare
a glimpse between split seconds —
two souls embrace in prayer.

Very nice Kira! I love looking beyond the words to see the essence of the writer’s heart. In this case as though he were there next to her, seeing her beyond the shadows of the candlelight. Even if briefly! Beautiful poem! 🌹❤✍️⭐️👍
Two soul embrace
because they can be twins;
but nobody knows it, nor expect it.
It is a matter of knowing our aura,
is knowing how to listen instead of hearing,
is to motivate our emotions,
it is the measure of our longings …
More after all
every human finds his verb …
The time does not matter,
nor the emotions that overwhelm us.
Because only you and me
we are free to love. ❤ 🌈 ❤
Wow! That was so beautiful and moving, I can imagine myself as that writer. 😁 I also love your artwork it has such free form beauty to it!
Beautiful Kira 🥰👏

Une belle danse…Belle écriture @Kira (Yakira) Fulks 🙇♂
Verse three seems to be the key to the poem, as it acts as something of a commentary on the preceding verses. It informs us of the nature of the relationship of the two figures, which is more than just a writer of some sort composing for his ladylove. It is two souls who embrace in prayer, who bond spiritually. This is the kind of intimacy all desire but few find. It needs no physicality to validate it (But let’s not rule that out.).
