On a small piece of paper
in plain black ink,
one word was scribbled
in an unbroken link:
Sorry.
The cause of death
It was proclaimed
was clear right from the start—
the subject in the blanket
died of a sad and broken heart.

Rear View | When Death Comes
Such a simple but sad poem… 💙
So tragic and emotional Kira…a wonderful tribute
What a beautiful and moving piece! 💙🌷
Kira, I read your poem and was touched by the last sentence. And was saddened!I watched your video Rearview and envisioned a little girl, a child, looking through the rear window staring at the world behind her moving further away. Watching it as it was being left behind. Seeing what was once the present suddenly becoming the past. Broken! At the same time though her memory was being filled with memories of her loved one that will be with her for the rest of her life. The beginning of healing. I hope you have found healing for your loss. Never totally healed, but strengthened through time. 😪❤
Penned right from the heart. Regards
