THERE ARE THOSE
There are those who die of cancer
and those who die of dire aches
there are those who can’t go on
because their hearts just simply breaks.
There are those who wheeze and sneeze
and spread infections like a storm
there are those who just give in
to rules of fools in uniforms.
For all of them we carry banners
and charge to bear their failing weight
we proclaim them as our heroes
fallen to a twisted fate.
But who is there to soothe and quiet
who is there to heal and clad
all the folk who are so weakened
by life so hard and sad?
