FLICKER
My heart has died
in early autumn evening
the fire dried
has vanished now was gone
the scent of faded days
will always linger with me
as fresh as morning breeze
in Cali Summer home.
Now winter came
my bones have turned colder
I called inside for light to fill my soul
to spark again my spirit that is lonely
for hope to hold me tight
proud, pure, innocent and whole.
And from beyond I feel
a flame spring sudden
and pierce my core
as lighting in the dark
across the seas
the deserts
and the mountains
I feel new life flicker
deep inside my heart.
