I was invited again to the Precious Life Shelter annual ‘Babies are Precious’ fundraising event at St. Isidore Historical Plaza in Los Alamitos, California. The shelter offers safe haven for homeless pregnant women facing financial, physical and emotional challenges. It provides them and their children with clean safe housing, guidance and essential life skills to become independent.
Precious Life Shelter has operated solely on community donations and proceeds from a thrift shop for over 30 years. The facilities have been expended recently to accommodate more women for longer durations. The shelter is run entirely by dedicated volunteers committed to supporting women in need.
We toured the cozy enjoyed the lively event with delicious BBQ dinner, California wine and live music.
It was another wonderful afternoon with my darling friends Kelly, Hudson, Stuart, and Eduardo who is my favorite Palestinian, and of course, I am his favorite Israeli.
