We spent a delightful Sunday in San Diego with my cousin Gal, and his parents, Ruti and Haim, who are visiting from Israel. They stayed at the charming El Primo Hotel, a historic inn nestled in the heart of downtown Chula Vista. This cozy, art deco lodge, constructed in 1930 is managed by a charming family, making it feel like home away from home.
We drove to downtown San Diego, walked around the bustling streets had lunch at an outdoor café, enjoying the beautiful weather and each other’s company. How comforting it is to be with family, especially during this time. The hours flew by so quickly, but the memories will last forever.
As they prepare to return home, we wish them a safe journey and a heartfelt prayer for peace in our beloved homeland, Israel. May God’s light shine upon our brave soldiers and hasten the safe return of our hostages.
Ruti
In laughter and echoes of a past pure and sweet
our hearts beat as one when we meet and we greet
a warm embrace like a coat in cold weather
love and joy bloom when we are together.
