A gust of wind
swept across the ocean
sending ripples
of cool swells and riptides
and waves breaking the shore
lapping our toes
as we lazed on the shimmering sand
watching seagulls sway for prey
breathing in the salty air
intoxicated
sailing to nowhere.

A very nice, descriptive word picture that puts you right in the scene. We need such, in these times.
You transported me and how wonderful that was. The weather has turned chilly, autumn has set in and your beach is just so inviting. Lovely words and your artwork is so uplifting dear Kira. Love from me to you poet.
