Nine years have passed since that fateful morning, I woke up to the darkest day. A down poring rainstorm hovered over LA, and a like a thunder on a clear day, I received the call that my brother took his life. In a split second, our world turned dark and empty. It took years to go through the grief and disbelief.

In the process, I have come to understand that only where there is will there is life, that every moment is a passing present, and despite the challenges, I love life, and there is nothing I want more than to live forever.

My brother Ehud Shimoni was full of life, a true friend and giver—his home like his heart was open to all—and we were all privileged to call him brother. You are always in my heart, Ehud, we shall meet again 🥀💙✡ יהי זכרו ברוך
