It was one of those days
when the fields were growing
and the air from the heat
smelled and reeked
it was one of those days
when the winds were blowing
and I sat in my room slight and sick.

The deepest of my pleasures
laid far from sight of eye
for I have seen the treasures
that lie above the lies.

An ache inside my heart
burst without restrain
and from above He took my glance
and washed away the pain.

It was one of those days
when the fields were growing
and the air from the heat sunk to earth
it was one of those days
when I prayed for His coming
to liven my spirit and faith.
