Today is the Tu B’Shevat, the 15th day of the month of Shevat, the Jewish New Year for trees. As the frost of winter thaws, and the warmth of spring is in the air, we look for renewed growth, not only in nature, but growth in ourselves as well, for ‘Man is a Tree in The Field’. 🌱
Now is the time to dig, plant new seeds, fertilize, water and nurture ourselves and each other, so we can bear succulent fruit in the coming days. Happy Holiday 🍎🍒🍑🍊🍐🍋
IN THE SUMMER
In the summer we sat together
in the shade of tall green trees
from our garden we picked sweet lemons
that were planted once as seeds.
